Journey Well with Dementia
Journeying alongside people affected by dementia is particularly important for us here at The Pathways Centre. Every Tuesday morning there is an activity for people living with Dementia. This involves the person with Dementia as well as those who are their carers.
On the 1st and 3rd week of the month there is an Art, Crafts and Games morning run in partnership with Age UK. Starting at 10:30am you can take your pick from arts and crafts and/or games and activities like puzzles or even knitting. There's always refreshments as well!
On the 2nd and 4th week of the month we run a very popular "Singing Café". We love singing, having a bit of a dance, doing quizzes and some chair based exercise. Oh! And there's also lots of chatting and eating cake too!
If there happens to be a 5th Tuesday in the month you can expect a Reminiscence Day. That can be anything from experiencing a shop from the 1950s, to interactive crafts or a relaxation morning. Each time it's different; just come and enjoy the fun.
Add in a place to have a chat, get to know others in the same situation whilst developing a support network and having plenty of fun and that about sums us up.

Take - a - Break
In the summer of 2015, recognising a need to allow the carers of those with dementia to take a break from the 24/7 care they give, we opened this respite service.
Open from 10am - 2pm on a Thursday, we will look after your loved one to enable you to take a break and enjoy some "me" time.
Run by our team of of qualified care workers and dedicated volunteers, we offer this service at a very reasonable cost to provide a full program of interactive activities, games, music and fun, including refreshments and a cooked lunch.
Contact our office on 01455 890026 and speak to Ruth or Vicky to find out if it's for you.
