Come and Be Still

We believe God's Spirit is with us through everything we do, but there are times when we intentionally meet together to spend time talking and praying together about our faith journey.  There are groups that we run in the Centre or in the Church that adjoins the Centre.

Meditation and Relaxation is one way that we find helpful to still ourselves in the busyness of life, restore our soul and meet with God.  We have a fortnightly Relaxation and Meditation Group that meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 10:30am..  All are welcome.

We also have a small room called the 'Quiet Place' that is regularly open for times of prayer or stillness and peace.    Contact us directly if you would like more information about when this is open.

Being part of Hinckley Baptist Church means that there are many other pathways available which can help you connect with Christian Spirituality, both for children and adults.  Check out the website at www.hinckleybaptist.com for more information.

Other events that help us explore Christian spirituality are posted on our Home Page under 'Events Coming Up'.

Wellbeing & Spirituality

We believe that wellbeing comes from taking care of every aspect of your life.  This includes looking after your mind, body and spirit.  These are all interlinked and cannot be separated.  That's why we run groups of all different kinds here.

We follow the teachings of Jesus and believe that He wanted us to live life to the full.  Whilst Christianity has an important eternal dimension to it, Jesus' Gospel was also rooted in the here and now.  The compassion He showed for those who needed healing physically as well as healing for their mind and soul was obvious by the way he treated people.

Restoration is a key theme for us in Pathways. The current community work grew out of seeking to serve those in need in our community and aimed to restore us to our community roots. Next came the restoration of the building and now we continue to help people find personal restoration through different activities.  That might be through a food parcel, a room to rent, someone to sit and talk or pray with over a cup of tea or even a place to do art and meet new friends.

We also believe you might be part of our restoration process and would love to hear about how you might be able to help us.
